About Me
From delivering orders to building the future of Voice AI
Two years ago, I was riding around on a Zepto delivery bike. Today, I run India’s largest Voice AI community. This is that story and why Unio exists.
I’m Sunil Maurya, founder of Unio.
My path into Voice AI wasn’t planned. I was active on LinkedIn, and one thing kept showing up in my feed: Voice AI was going to be huge. That was enough to get me curious, and curious enough to go looking for a way in. I joined an early-stage startup building Voice AI agents for BFSI and credit unions across India and the US, and it was there that I saw the gap up close: almost nobody was sharing real, ground-level insight about what it actually takes to build in this space.
So I started asking. On Reddit, on LinkedIn, in every corner I could find talking to builders, founders, and engineers who were figuring this out in public. That curiosity turned into conversations, the conversations turned into a community, and that community is Unio.
What Unio is today
Unio is where Voice AI builders and companies work together directly not at a distance. We run regular offline events, live Q&A sessions with people building real production systems, and spaces for builders to learn from each other instead of guessing alone.
We’re proud to be India’s largest Voice AI community, now 10,000+ builders strong, and we’ve built that with the support of partners including Telnyx, Speechmatics, SLNG, Bolna AI, Smallest AI, Ringg AI, TeleCMI, and others across the ecosystem.
Our vision
Voice AI is moving fast, and the people building it deserve a space that moves with them one built on direct access, honest insight, and real relationships between builders and the companies shaping this industry. That’s what Unio is here to be: not just a community to join, but a place to actually build alongside others doing the same work.
